January

Yes, it's January. What else is there to say. I am spending it as it should be spent. Waiting for February! lol Too cold to go outside, too dull inside. Hibernate, the only answer.

Well, I've signed up for an art class via the local community college so maybe I'll get inspired to something.

Meantime... I wish you warm pleasant dreams.

A really pretty set of looms

This is a blood wood set ordered by a customer. The 14" square, tri and diamond. It's beautiful wood and I hated to part with it! It dark red, heavy and smooth as glass. It looks a bit brownish in the photo, but it isn't at all. Randy says I have too many looms already so it looks like I'm not going to get bloodwood. I do have some in Zebra wood, which nobody else has, tho! it's also very lovely. That's the trouble with going into the wood store! it's almost as bad as going into the yarn store. There's just too much beautiful stuff and you just can't have it all! lol We both spotted the same board last week. Teak, but such a Teak board as I've never seen! it was hard to leave it but they wouldn't take the car in trade. Not to say it was expensive...

Dinner on the Beach

It's back on South Beach for me. I shopped today so have all the proper produce again. Stuff I can't get up here in the mts. Gotta drive the 80 miles to town for it. But it's worth a weekly trip. I've been missing my veggies. Canned just doesn't make it. We're roasting tonight. There's some sweet potato, red onion, zucchini, green beans, mushrooms, brussel sprouts, little red, yellow and orange sweet peppers, and tomatoes tossed in olive oil and garlic powder with a bit of salt and pepper. They roast a-dente (Well, that's french and I don't rightly know how to spell it. Neither does my spell checker!) and be accompanied by a chicken breast microwaved. Delish! I bought some blueberries for desert. Haven't had fresh blueberries since I lived at home. Momma used to grow them.
